About this verb#
- Perfective of выдерживать. Class 5a держать-pattern but with the perfectivising prefix вы- which always pulls stress to itself, so every form is stressed on вы-. The participle выдержанный applies to aged wine / cheese ('mature') as well as to people ('composed').
