About this verb#
- Perfective of умолять. Class 4b with end-stress in 1sg (умолю) shifting to stem from 2sg; no mutation (л stays). The verb describes the result, not the act: 'succeeded in begging X to do Y', distinct from imperfective умолять 'be in the act of pleading'.
