About this verb#
- Perfective of смеяться with за- prefix (ingressive 'burst out laughing'). Inherits смеяться's Class 6b paradigm: short stem with -е- and end-stress (засмеюсь, засмеёшься, засмеются). Past keeps stem stress (засмеялся, засмеялась).
