About this verb#
- Class 6b with end-stress. In the present the д stays put (жду, ждёшь, ждут), but the past has feminine stress shift typical of monosyllabic verbs (ждал, ждало, ждали but ждала). Multi-government: + Acc for definite expectation ('I'm waiting for the bus'), + Gen for indefinite ('I'm waiting for news').
