About this verb#
- Prefixed perfective reflexive of -ключ- ('lock, latch') with за-. Class 4b with end-stress throughout (заключусь, заключишься, заключатся). The reflexive form has two meanings: 1) the impersonal 'consist in something' (заключается в + Prep), and 2) the passive 'be concluded' (about agreements, contracts). Far less common than the imperfective заключаться.
