About this verb#
- Prefixed perfective from дочь ('daughter') with у- (factive prefix making a state). Class 4b with end-stress (удочерю, удочеришь, удочерят). The sex-specific counterpart of усыновить ('adopt a son'). Passive participle удочерённый shows the typical -ённый ending after end-stress.
