About this verb#
- Class 8b: hidden velar stem (стриг-) with end-stress. The г mutates to ж in 2sg-2pl (стрижёшь, стрижёт, стрижёте) but is preserved in the я-form (стригу) and 3pl (стригут). Past: стриг, стригла, стригло, стригли. Same pattern as мочь.
