About this verb#
- Perfective of помогать. Class 8b: -чь infinitive with consonant-stem -г-/-ж- alternation (помогу 1sg/3pl on -г-, the middle persons on -ж-). The past masculine drops -л after the consonant: помог, but feminine помогла, plural помогли. The recipient of help always goes in the dative.
