About this verb#
- Prefixed perfective from -вод- ('lead') with со-. Class 4b, with end-stress throughout (сопровожу, сопроводишь, сопроводят) and д → ж mutation in 1sg (сопровожу). Passive participle сопровождённый shows the historical жд cluster, generalized in the imperfective сопровождать.
