About this verb#
- Perfective of vulgar жрать with delimitative / completion по-. Irregular жрать family: present-future stem жр- with end-stress throughout (пожру, пожрёшь); past feminine takes end-stress (пожрала). Coarse / slang for eating, but also neutral for fires, pests, or machines 'consuming' resources.
