  Я начинаю день с кофе.

• Я начинаю день с кофе.

  I start the day with coffee.

• Мы начинаем работать в девять часов.

  We start work at nine o'clock.

• Class 1a with fixed stem stress (начинаю, начинаешь, начинают); note the long -ина- imperfective stem. Aspect partner is the dramatically shorter, athematic начать (начну, начнёшь, начнут).
