  For the holiday they light up the garlands.

• Class 1a with fixed stem stress (зажигаю, зажигаешь, зажигают). Aspect partner зажечь is the prefixed athematic жечь (Class 8b) with г → ж mutation in 2sg-2pl: зажгу, зажжёшь, зажгут (note the simplification of -жг- → -жж- before front vowels).
