About this verb#
- Perfective of жить with про-: to live through a stretch of time or spend a definite period somewhere. Like жить it conjugates with end-stressed жив-/живу, but the past tense pulls stress back to the prefix in all forms except the feminine (прожил vs. прожила), a classic prefix-stress trap.
