About this verb#
- Prefixed perfective of существовать with про- in its perdurative sense ('throughout a period'). Class 2a, with -ова- → -у- in the future (просуществую, просуществуешь). End-stressed in the past (просуществовал) because of the -ова- syllable. Typically takes a duration accusative.
