About this verb#
- Prefixed perfective of идти used impersonally for events. Present-future on -йд- stem (произойдёт, произойдут); past suppletive on -ше-/-шл- (произошёл, произошла). Only third-person forms occur in practice because subjects are events, not people. The active past participle is произошедший.
