About this verb#
- Class 4c, same paradigm as ходить, with про- + ис- prefix combo. Shifting c-stress and д → ж mutation in the я-form (происхожу → происходишь). Mostly impersonal-3sg-feeling: «что происходит?» 'what's happening?'. Suppletive pf произойти inherits идти's suppletive past (произошёл, произошла).
