- Class 4b -ить with т → щ mutation in 1sg (прекращу); the imperfective прекращать keeps -щ- throughout. End-stress in 1sg, stem-stress from 2sg. Takes a noun or noun-like phrase in the accusative, and can govern a deverbal noun ('cease shouting' → прекратить крик).
