About this verb#
- Delimitative perfective of висеть. Class 5b with с→ш mutation in 1sg (повишу, but повисишь), end-stressed throughout. висеть is the position-state counterpart of вешать/повесить (the active 'hang sth.'). Used for things that stay hanging: clothes, pictures, even unanswered phones.
