About this verb#
- Class 1a with fixed stem stress (покупаю, покупаешь, покупают). The aspect partner купить (Class 4c) has a much shorter stem with п → пл mutation and shifting stress (куплю → купишь), a classic long-stem-impf / short-stem-pf pair.
