About this verb#
- Class 1a with fixed stem stress (подтверждаю, подтверждаешь, подтверждают). Aspect partner подтвердить (Class 4b) has end-stress and д → ж mutation in the я-form: подтвержу, подтвердишь. The жд in the imperfective stem reflects the same old mutation, generalized.
