About this verb#
- Class 4c: same paradigm as ходить with за- prefix ('drop in, set' for the sun). Shifting c-stress and д → ж mutation in the я-form: захожу (end-stressed) → заходишь, заходят (stem-stressed). Perfective partner зайти inherits the suppletive past шёл/шла → зашёл/зашла.
