About this verb#
- Perfective of встречать. Class 4a with т→ч mutation in 1sg only (встречу, встретишь). The non-reflexive form is transitive ('meet someone' takes a direct accusative), while встретиться requires с + instrumental. The two are functionally an active/reciprocal pair.
