About this verb#
- Prefixed perfective from the root -воль- ('will, freedom'). Class 4a with fixed stem stress (уволю, уволишь, уволят); note the past passive participle уволенный with single -н- (after stem-stress). Secondary imperfective увольнять (Class 1a) has the typical -ня- stem from -ить → -нять.
