About this verb#
- Reflexive partner of успокоить. Class 4a -ить, no consonant mutation (й stays in the stem), fixed stem stress. The imperative успокойся! is the standard 'calm down' formula. Same pattern as the transitive verb minus the agent-on-patient meaning.
