About this verb#
- Reflexive perfective of сообщаться. Class 4b reflexive, end-stressed, no mutation (stem in щ). Rare in modern conversational Russian, chiefly literary, often metaphorical ('the mood was transferred to the crowd'). The non-reflexive сообщить ('inform') is far more common.
