About this verb#
- Class 4a, the same paradigm shape as ходить with с- prefix. Two-way biaspectual: as impf, the с- means 'going down/off' (descend), with the regular д → ж mutation in the я-form; as pf, it means 'make a quick trip there-and-back' (сходить в магазин). Stem stress throughout.
