• Prefixed perfective from знать with при-. Class 1a -ать with fixed end-stress on -на- in the future (признаю, признаешь, признают). The passive participle признанный has retracted stem stress on the prefix, a common pattern for short, stem-final stressed perfectives. Government: признать что/кого + Inst (recognize as X) or 'admit + что'-clause.
