  I shrug my shoulders, I don't know.

• Они пожимают руки в знак согласия.

  They shake hands in agreement.

• Class 1a with fixed stem stress (пожимаю, пожимаешь, пожимают). Aspect partner пожать has a much shorter stem (по- + жм-/жн-, Class 14: пожму, пожмёшь, пожмут); the nasal jot drops in the present. Idiom: пожимать руку 'shake hands', пожимать плечами 'shrug'.
