Perfective verbs form a simple future that takes present-tense endings but describes a completed action.

• Дай мне помечтать в тишине.

  Let me daydream a little in peace.

• Мы помечтали о будущем и легли спать.

  We daydreamed about the future for a while and went to sleep.

• Delimitative perfective of мечтать. Class 1a with end-stem stress on -ча- (помечта-). 'Dream about' takes о + prepositional. Note that мечтать means specifically 'daydream, fantasise', not 'dream while sleeping' (that's видеть сон).
