About this verb#
- Prefixed perfective of лезть with ingressive по- ('start doing'). Class 7a has fixed stem stress on -ле- (полезу, полезешь, полезут). Past loses -ну- (no -ну- here anyway): полез (m, no -л), полезла, полезло, полезли, typical for stem ending in -з/-к. The past gerund полезши uses the older -ши suffix.
