About this verb#
- Prefixed perfective of кусить/кусать with пере- (delimitative 'a bit, a little'). Class 4c with shifting c-stress: перекушу (end-stressed 1sg with с → ш mutation) → перекусишь, перекусит, перекусят (stem-stressed). A colloquial sense extension from 'bite through' to 'eat a little'.
