  I feel the pleasant smell of coffee.

• Маша ощущает усталость каждый день.

  Masha feels tired every day.

• Class 1a with fixed stem stress (ощущаю, ощущаешь, ощущают). Aspect partner ощутить (Class 4b) has end-stress and т → щ mutation in the я-form: ощущу, ощутишь, where щ in the imperfective stem reflects the same mutation, generalized.
