About this verb#
- Prefixed perfective from круг ('circle') with о-. Class 4b has end-stress throughout (окружу, окружишь, окружат). The г → ж mutation appears in 1sg окружу (and is generalized in the passive participle окружённый). Government: окружить кого + Inst, 'surround someone with something'.
