About this verb#
- Class 4a -ить, no mutation (ч stays), fixed stem stress. After ч the standard spelling rule applies: 3pl ending is -ат (кончат) not -ят. Note: the verb has a sexual slang meaning in informal speech, so avoid it in formal contexts; закончить is the more neutral choice today.
