About this verb#
- Mixed-conjugation irregular: singular goes 1st-conjugation (хочу, хочешь, хочет, with с → ч in the т-stem) but plural switches to 2nd (хотим, хотите, хотят). One of the few verbs that takes both accusative and partitive genitive: хочу чаю (some tea, partial) vs. хочу чай (the tea, definite).
