About this verb#
- Class 7b with the irregular present-future stem бер- (изберу, изберёшь, where the а of the infinitive drops). Mobile past stress: избрал but feminine избрала. Strictly formal; for everyday 'choose' use выбирать / выбрать. The passive participle избранный with stem stress is the standard form.
